Life Health Financial Solutions is a Munich based division of Munich Re which focusses on structured life reinsurance solutions, e.g. providing market risk guarantees embedded in reinsurance to clients. We are looking for a valuation actuary (m/f) to join our Monitoring & Reporting unit. A wide range of challenging tasks in an interdisciplinary team awaits you. The team operates end-of-day batch processes on our hedging platform, monitors daily P/L attribution, services and comments on IFRS, Solvency II and liquidity calculations, coordinates model and assumption changes and performs regular portfolio monitoring and stress test calculations.
The position focuses on service calculations in the context of IFRS accounting and Solvency II reporting, which are mandated to our team by the PCC Malta, which is a primary insurer founded by Munich Re in 2017. You will also participate in performing and improving the post signature processes for the reinsurance business.

University degree in (actuarial/finance) mathematics or comparable qualification Actuarial training or comparable experience Sound knowledge of products in life insurance and financial models for valuation and reserving Proficiency in IFRS and Solvency II Professional experience in the valuation of life (re-)insurance contracts Basic knowledge of coding languages (e.g. R or Java) Excellent analytical and conceptual skills Foreign languages: fluent business German and English
