At our site in Berlin we are looking for a Revenue Manager (m/f) Trade
In order to achieve this, the Revenue Manager is responsible for the following:
Monitoring customer policy actual performance vs budget / latest forecast, understanding variances and ensuring action plans are in place to address adverse performance Working effectively with all Business Units, stakeholders and transversal teams to identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of trade investments and ensuring the effective delivery of these opportunities, including identifying opportunities to optimise the route to market for the Sanofi portfolio Ensuring that Business Unit teams are effectively employing pricing methodologies (price elasticity etc.) to provide recommendations to General Managers on pricing of free-price-products Introducing methodologies which provide insight into value chain economics (pricing, commercial conditions, trade margins) Rolling out and embedding Trade investment and Pricing tools, models and KPI’s (including the revenue management tool and Customer Account profitability) Developing revenue management capabilities across all Business Units – including delivering training sessions, and running and facilitating Trade Investment and Pricing related workshops Developing a revenue management culture whereby commercial conditions are performance-driven, are embedded in contracts / Joint Business Plans with customers and are tracked to ensure performance meets expectations Deploying and customizing Global and Regional best practices to fit with local requirements / needs and ensure the effective sharing of best practices across all Business Units Working with Global, Regional and Local Business Units and Support functions as a key member of the Trade Committee and demonstrating on Country Council level, the added-value Revenue Manager brings to the Sanofi’s growth agenda
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics or Engineering Thorough understanding of pricing (including elasticity modelling, pricing architecture, breakeven analysis) Thorough understanding of contract management and trade terms optimisation Practical experience of commercial negotiation with key customers Good understanding of statistical analysis tools Good understanding of Shopper / Consumer insights tools Approximately 5 years experience in Trade management / Supply chain / Commercial Intelligence / Finance / Internal audit functions, ideally with a previous background in FMCG (Fast moving Consumer Goods) Strong leadership, communications and change management capabilities to be able to develop an effective Regional Revenue Management network Confidence to work with and challenge Senior Managers Ability to network in a matrix organisation Strong analytical skills, with a good balance between using empirical data and common sense Ability to handle numerous projects at one time and meet fast turnaround deadlines Strong project management capabilities including the ability to establish project briefs / plans, gain buy-in and to ensure effective delivery Strong verbal and written English skills
